Waited for 1,5hours with a sign to Turku before giving up and taking an overpriced bus. Maybe most of them were going to helsinki but there was a lot of cars and it was a good place to stop.My experience about hitchhiking in finland is that eather you get lucky and find a ride in less than 15 minutes or you stand there for hours..

Two people. Traffic lights and the bus stop make it pretty reasonable for cars. Not bad, sun was shining behind the cars so they had less problems seeing us. Maybe too much traffic (drivers thinking someone else will take us) and a lot of drivers propably on their way to home from work either in Helsinki or Vantaa. So would propably find a place further up the highway maybe in Vantaa if using it again.―hiidenhuora

Bus stop is okay to dorection of Tampere, the cars lower the speed as there is a speed camera over the hill just before the bus stop. Got a direct car to Tampere from here.―Anonymous

Tried other spots of Tampere trying to go to Helsinki but no luck after like 2 hours. Idk if it was luck but I just feel like this was the best spot since we got it almost instantly. Tampere road infrastructure is hellish so I think this might be one of the more coherent places to get south.―pate88

Most drivers go either long way south or north so potentially a good place. Me and my friend ate lunch on the bench of the ABC outside and asked drivers for a ride(granted we are finnish so that probably helped tremendously with trust and shit) eventually two Toni's took us to Tampere. 5/5 loved the place―pate88
