Waited for 1,5hours with a sign to Turku before giving up and taking an overpriced bus. Maybe most of them were going to helsinki but there was a lot of cars and it was a good place to stop.
My experience about hitchhiking in finland is that eather you get lucky and find a ride in less than 15 minutes or you stand there for hours..

I think it's a very good place to get to Helsinki. Many drivers going there. First people (and the only ones💀) we asked got us to Helsinki.

Tried other spots of Tampere trying to go to Helsinki but no luck after like 2 hours. Idk if it was luck but I just feel like this was the best spot since we got it almost instantly. Tampere road infrastructure is hellish so I think this might be one of the more coherent places to get south.

Most drivers go either long way south or north so potentially a good place. Me and my friend ate lunch on the bench of the ABC outside and asked drivers for a ride(granted we are finnish so that probably helped tremendously with trust and shit) eventually two Toni's took us to Tampere. 5/5 loved the place
