there were two other hitchhikers for bordeaux and they got a ride in 30 minutes, then i got one after 30 minutes more. it was in summer i'm not sure about the traffic in other seasons.

a little entrance to the highway, direction toulouse or bordeaux. you can wait before or after the toolbooth, but right at the toolbooth is not so easy because they put gates.

From where it says on hitchwiki, there’s a path around the gate so you don’t even have to climb. Then keep going and on your left there’s a natural small hill that leads to the motorway and the fence has been rolled back and so you can go straight in. After getting down I walked to after the tolls but I was wearing a hi-vis jacket (9:20pm ish on Saturday in March) and once I stood just after where the trucks come out, I held my sign for no more than 15 seconds before a lovely guy took me to the rest stop after the Moissac exit where you can sleep and eat. Great spot and worth the trip there (bumped the bus to the stop Lapparou)
