There is a lot of cars some Spanish some from Netherlands but most of them are French so it’s best to know French.First day we could find no one to go with towards Spain so we slept under a trees close to gas station.
Second day we asked for one hour and we met Spanish dudes and they took us close to Perpignan.

A lot of traffic. We stood behind the toll station with a Perpignan sign. After 10 minutes we had a ride. If you want to get on the a9 this is a really good option. I don’t know if it is reachable by foot―GoFi

Good if you are heading south.For traveling north to Montpelier, i wouldn't suggest this. Took almost 2 hours. Cars are slow when exiting the peage but then speed up rapidly to cross into their preferred lane, and as the northbound side is on the left, it's difficult for them to stop. Got a trucker ignore all the mess behind him who picked me up, luckily.
