Got a ride really fast, okay place for drivers to pull over. Not a far ride

I rejected maybe 8 rides because I thought I could get a farther one, and I did! All the way to the border of Spain! Most people are going to Orléans, but occasionally you meet someone going farther. I speak no French but managed to make do, good spot to hitchhike out west or south!

Got dropped here at 9PM, still a bit of traffic, but 80% of the cars went to Narbonne/Montpellier. I got tons of offers. For my first offer to the south I had to wait 60mins. So I would say it's a 4/5 spot towards south but definitely 5/5 for northbound.

Not a good stop in the roundabout for cars to stop safely when there is a lot of traffic.

There is a lot of cars some Spanish some from Netherlands but most of them are French so it’s best to know French.
First day we could find no one to go with towards Spain so we slept under a trees close to gas station.
Second day we asked for one hour and we met Spanish dudes and they took us close to Perpignan.

Waited infront of the green thing before the toll station.
Two hikers picked me up and offered me to take me to the train station in Narbonne.

Waited for one evening with no luck, we (two guys) slept in a nice spot if you follow the path next to the a9 north. The next morning we were picked by a group of italian guys in a camper van. They were a really fun group and gave us beer in exchange for wine. One of the best Hitchhiking experiences i have had.
Used a Barcelona sign

We (two guys) used this spot to get to the toll station of the A9, as its absurdly difficult to get there by foot from here. Despite the very short distance it took quite a while to get a ride. Used A9 sign

A lot of traffic. We stood behind the toll station with a Perpignan sign. After 10 minutes we had a ride. If you want to get on the a9 this is a really good option. I don’t know if it is reachable by foot

Cars have some place to stop and mostly locals, I (one boy) got a ride super fast to Palau del vidre, but Argelès is probably also easy.

Good spot, waited a bit longer than expected, but worth it. A couple took us to Perpignan, directly in front of our accomodation. We (2) had a sign Perpi, because of space in our notebook.

Difficult to reach we had to cross a street with lots of traffic. But got picked up really fast. Good to go too Argelès-sur-Mer

A lot of the Cars go to Narbonne.
Not ideal if you want too go to Perpignan.

Good if you are heading south.
For traveling north to Montpelier, i wouldn't suggest this. Took almost 2 hours. Cars are slow when exiting the peage but then speed up rapidly to cross into their preferred lane, and as the northbound side is on the left, it's difficult for them to stop. Got a trucker ignore all the mess behind him who picked me up, luckily.

We waited in front of the fence and where really lucky to find an old couple who tuck us all the way to perpignan!

A lot of cars, going slow before the peage, abd there is some place for them to stop.
