Waited infront of the green thing before the toll station.
Two hikers picked me up and offered me to take me to the train station in Narbonne.

A nice Catalonian couple picked us up, and took us a short train ride away from Barcelona!

go on the zebra withe marks on the ground, safe, enough space to stop
very good start from Perpignan to the north (Rivesaltes and further)

Cars have some place to stop and mostly locals, I (one boy) got a ride super fast to Palau del vidre, but Argelès is probably also easy.

Good spot, waited a bit longer than expected, but worth it. A couple took us to Perpignan, directly in front of our accomodation. We (2) had a sign Perpi, because of space in our notebook.

The car are going slow and there's space to stop. Good for going into the direction to Spain but probably hard to get in to Spain.

Good to go to Collioure, there's space to stop and cars aren't going too fast. The closer to Spain you want to get the hardwr it probably is.

Difficult to reach we had to cross a street with lots of traffic. But got picked up really fast. Good to go too Argelès-sur-Mer

A lot of the Cars go to Narbonne.
Not ideal if you want too go to Perpignan.

Good if you are heading south.
For traveling north to Montpelier, i wouldn't suggest this. Took almost 2 hours. Cars are slow when exiting the peage but then speed up rapidly to cross into their preferred lane, and as the northbound side is on the left, it's difficult for them to stop. Got a trucker ignore all the mess behind him who picked me up, luckily.

We waited in front of the fence and where really lucky to find an old couple who tuck us all the way to perpignan!

To get to this spot you have to cross over a non-pedestrian zone (shortly).
It is pretty exposed to weather and cars don’t have an ideal place to pull over but I got lucky within 20 minutes.
I got a ride to the nearest northern toll station.

We first tried at the gas station, that was really bad, this spot is really good when there are no trucks parked there. The moment the trucks left we had a ride pretty quick

it serves both directions so it can be tricky, besides fuel is more expensive than in spain. and yet i was picked up by a german whose mother, in another car, needed fuel. there was a lot of people, the spanish were telling me they were unfortunately coming from spain but would take me

Long walk from Perpignan, but one of the nicest walks you'll ever have. Getting to this side of the Peage involves jumping a creek and climbing a fence!

You should probably take directions if you're heading here- you may get lost! We hitched on the slip road for f*cking ages, then went directly up to the Peage and got a lift real quick.

Finding a ride all the way to Barcelona was hard, but plenty going to the final major Peage before Barcelona, which is much more likely for a lift all the way!

It's about 1.5 to 2 hr walk from the centre, depending on the route you take and if you get lost at all :)

I waited after the toll station with a sign, and got a ride after about 45 minutes. You might wait longer if you're looking for a direct ride to Barcelona though.
