Nice place, lots of cars and marsuckas if you can't get a ride. Stand right in front of the bridge, don't stand near the bus stop. The only thing is that it is quite hectic here, so drivers might be distracted.―marius

Got fast a car to Tbilisi. Drivers were stopping often. As a single female be careful, my driver was very annoying. Initially he had to drop me at the junction before Tbilisi, where I could get another ride to Stepantsminda, but instead drove me to Tbilisi. Luckily my friend managed to help me get rid of this dude. Good luck and the spot is really great to find a car!―Anonymous

This spot is great to find rides inbound Tbilisi and further; plenty of space for both cars and trucks to stop and all the traffic passes by this point. I got a first class ride from here from a driver headed to Baku, Azerbaijan. in first 5 minutes, two cars offered a ride to Tbilisi, and then got onto a car to Tbilisi. Since the spot is next to a church then all the drivers will be signing the cross while passing you which is a plus.―matt

To Batumi direction. Not sure if it's the best spot to leave Kutaisi but it worked for me. Some local was telling it's not good to go to Barumi from here but seemed fine.―Anonymous

Perfect distance outside town to hitchike to Gelati or Motsameta monestaries. Very wide road so cars can easily pull off. Got a ride after a few cars passed who took us right to the road to Motsameta, it’s a short scenic walk after that―J513
