Waited for close to two hours there with and without a sign reading ‘Kutaisi’ in both languages.Not much room for cars to pull over but many do (to pick up their relatives etc) and buses as well.
Not much traffic but Matshukas come every 30min or so in the worst case.
Eventually got a dude to take me to Khashuri

Have to agree with the previous comment.Hard to HH out going North. Tried this stretch for like 15min before going at the next junction 1km or so father down the road. I’d advise doing the same but it’s really not perfect either.
There’s less room for cars to stop at the junction but most cars coming from the city center didn’t continue through towards Khashuri and there you also get cars coming from Bakuriani.

Easy spot out of the roundabout for a ride towards Borjomi/Tbilissi.There was quite a lot of traffic when I was there, with place to pull over + as it’s slightly uphill cars don’t drive too fast.
There’s a bus stop there so don’t be surprised to see ppl wait. They didn’t mind that I hhed from there.

we take a bus to Likani (only 0.4 GEL every half hour), left the town to the end and hike on to Akaltsikhe. As many cars along the road go to nearby town.―Anonymous

Getting out towards north is difficult. Theoretically a good spot but people didnt stop for 40 minutes. So for 3 Lari I hopped on a Marshrutka to Tbilisi that let me off in Khashuri (which is also not a great place)―FlexiG

Stand close to the coffee stop but not too close. A bit behind so people can see and think about you already. After 10 min a group of people checking their car there for a few minutes spotted and discussed me during their wait and decided to take me to Borjomi. Loooots of room for cars to pull over.―FlexiG
