I was standing on the start of the turning lane with kutaisi sign and guy stopped and took me all the way to mestia. still not the best spot since you’re basically hitchhiking on the highway but very possible.―Anonymous

Gori Highway is the best place to hitchhike if you're going to the western Georgia especially. A lot of trucks and cars are passing this highway so you'll catch the ride easily. You can even catch the Turkish trucks going directly to Turkey so pick that up.―Anonymous

Direction: Gori, Kutaisi. We got lucky right after the gas station here. Cars getting out of it are slow, it seems to be a much better tactic then thumbing by the side of the highway (lots of cars then, but way too fast).―Anonymous

I learned everyone can stop at the highway to pickup hitchhikers. Took a Bolt from Stalin's museum to here. I got picked up in a truck within 5 minutes going to Zestafoni―Anonymous
