I came from Berlin and wanted to go near Hamburg, but my lift was going to drive to Rostock, so i had to decide between this an the next rest stop before Wittstock. I went here, because this was a quite big one. I waited around 1h before a guy took me all the way to Hamburg. You may have to wait a bit even in easter holidays, but there are many cars getting fuel or people eating burgers.―rubntf97

This is a quite big stop with a petrol station an a big parking lot. First I asked some people at the parking lot which was not really sucsessful. There were not too much cars and I decided to go to the petrol station. The peolpe drove in various directions and after a while of asking I saw a man filling his car with LPG. I've never seen this before and talked to him. Although he said he smokes in his car I got a lift to Herzsprung near Wittstock.―Anonymous

Lovely spot. Friendly people, some local hitchhikers and I quickly got a ride to a rasteplatz near Wittstock (I was going to Rostock, but met people going to Hamburg). According to my ride this used to be one of the two main places to hitchhike from West Berlin to West Germany so you're taking part in history as well as getting a quick ride.―Arnulle

Pretty low traffic I would recommand asking people that stop for gas to increases chances. You can also ask people stopping at Mac Donald's―Minaus
