People get here to get cheaper gasoline than at the Autobahn A24. So possible to get a lift to Berlin or Hamburg. Nice chat with the service staff.―Anonymous

Lovely spot. Friendly people, some local hitchhikers and I quickly got a ride to a rasteplatz near Wittstock (I was going to Rostock, but met people going to Hamburg). According to my ride this used to be one of the two main places to hitchhike from West Berlin to West Germany so you're taking part in history as well as getting a quick ride.―Arnulle
