Great spot for Chemnitz and Leipzig. Cars have to stop at the traffic lights, and you can easily jump in. Decent traffic, the main way for trucks to Germany.―martih

Is this the safest spot? Definitely not, but it worked for me multiple times. Focus on the cars coming from the ramp; there are not many, but they have to come to a halt at the end and be ready to jump in. Once, I hitched a car directly from the highway. Good with a sign DE.―martih

Ok, this looks like a good spot north. But I was dropped off here and needed to go south, and it was not great. Luckily, I found a guy around here going to the Czech border, but it might have been more luck than actually a good spot. Also, there is a McDonald's nearby, where I asked as well.―martih

Bus stop at the B95. Pretty good towards Chemnitz. Takes a while still, but that's because it's Erzgebirge. People around here are quite... isolated :D―Anonymous
