Stand right beside the traffic light so people can see you from the car when the light is red(Make yourself bigger). As cars go fast here.Drivers can easily pullover at the bus stop, which is right ahead of traffic stop.

A very good place for drivers to notice you with ample space to pull over. We were hitchhiking two people toward Berlin, with a clear sign, and were picked up within 15 minutes. The driver brought us all the way to our destination. Would recommend!―Ledan
