This spot gets a lot of traffic (all cars getting on the Autobahn to Hamburg). We were 2 people with a sign for Hamburg. Several reviews recommended the spot 500m south, at the traffic light, but it is before the intersection and in consequence got a third of the traffic. We we switched to the present spot, we had more people waiving to us and we eventually found a ride (after 30 min at this spot).

I came from Berlin and wanted to go near Hamburg, but my lift was going to drive to Rostock, so i had to decide between this an the next rest stop before Wittstock. I went here, because this was a quite big one. I waited around 1h before a guy took me all the way to Hamburg. You may have to wait a bit even in easter holidays, but there are many cars getting fuel or people eating burgers.

There's traffic lights here so you need to get lucky that a car stops and that you are standing in the right place to be able to make eye contact with the driver, they can't stop for long if the light turns green, but they can take a right and pick you up in de carpark.

The on-ramp sign's scratchmarks tell a history of hitchhikers being stranded here on the way to Berlin. Maybe there is a time during the day where you can _easily_ get a lift here. We haven't found it so far (during the evening). Correct this entry if you know otherwise.

Walked back and forth along the sidewalk with a sign while cars waited at the red light. Found a ride going to Hamburg within 10 minutes. Easter Friday, 14:00
