a good spot to reach almost all beaches (please build a sign with a name) on 'ostsee' (eng.: 'baltic sea') east of rostock such as 'darss weststrand', 'prerow' or 'zingst penisula'. also good to find drivers that take you to 'stralsund' or even further to the island of 'rügen'.―Anonymous

the intersection to reach the beaches of 'darss penisula', 'fischland' as well as 'zingst penisula'. it is very unsafe to stand on federal highway "B 105" as the cars go very fast, sometimes faster than 100 km/h. walk some 100 meters north on bäderstraße (landstraße) "L 21" to hitch you way out to the dunes!―Anonymous

A personal favorite because there is an apple tree right next to it! There's space for cars to pull over, but they can only stop if there's nobody directly behind them, so don't use this spot in very heavy traffic.―Dr.Keith

I was asking the people turning left on the A19 to Berlin to get a ride. Most of them stay close to Rostock so it's hard to get to the next gas station. And the next won't isn't busy at all, so it might be better to get someone getting you further than that!―Rokz
