totally doable still!! i stood after the roundabout next to some cement thing before the cars drive in to their respective lanes for the ferry. there were not many people driving in when i was there. i’m not sure if the truck drivers are allowed to add passengers easily but right as i was going to go ask i got a ride from a van!―teef

got dropped off here because the person that picked me up said she always takes hitchhikers here and they’ve had success. it’s just before the A20 entrance, there’s wide dirt road/pull off and people have a ton of time to see you. not much traffic and a lot of people only going to Grimmen. i stood with a sign to Rostock and eventually got a ride by some students―teef

a good spot to reach almost all beaches (please build a sign with a name) on 'ostsee' (eng.: 'baltic sea') east of rostock such as 'darss weststrand', 'prerow' or 'zingst penisula'. also good to find drivers that take you to 'stralsund' or even further to the island of 'rügen'.―Anonymous

the intersection to reach the beaches of 'darss penisula', 'fischland' as well as 'zingst penisula'. it is very unsafe to stand on federal highway "B 105" as the cars go very fast, sometimes faster than 100 km/h. walk some 100 meters north on bäderstraße (landstraße) "L 21" to hitch you way out to the dunes!―Anonymous
