For the size of the station not many cars going here but it is a great spot nevertheless. Also can sleep in the forest behind the gas station. Asking around should be easiest here.

We wanted to hitchhike to Berlin. Many people riding in different direction. Non the less we 2 got a ride to Nürnberg after some Time which is very helpful. No Ants in Juli

Good spot, good flow of cars, going all directions west, good to have a sign for your specific area. Not a lot of shade at the exit though.

If you’re trynna go East towards Amberg and the Bahnhofs well you’re gonna have a bad time. Many people stopped although there’s no space but nobody was going towards CZ or east. Don’t bother coming here. I got dropped here after 2 women confused east with west and gave me a ride in the opposite direction hahahh

I was trying to get to east on A6. I don’t know how the other people got rides to Czech Republic but I wasn’t lucky at all. The traffic is very local going every possible direction but East and nobody is taking the A6 eastwards bruh. Or at least nobody stopped. I had a double sign CZ and A6 OST. Got a ride from some girls whom I asked 5 times to confirm they are going east but they were actually going WEST?! Holy sht don’t trust women with directions. Anyways from that really bad spot I got another ride back to Nürnberg and I’m taking the flixbus for 30€. I started at 10AM now it’s 4PM

Got a ride to Nuremberg after 30 mins.

By far the best spot to leave the Rhein-Neckar area in direction south and east. Take S9 from Mannheim and walk to the spot. The gate is open

july, friday around 2PM, i spent some time trying to go up to people and ask for a lift, but theres people everywhere, loads of families with a full car, many people didnt speak english
i dunno if was only a matter or timing, but soon after i moved to the entrance of the highway, 3 cars stopped in one minute
the 3rd was going in my direction and drove me to nurnberg
free toilet and free water in the truck parking lot
dont be fooled by the expansive shop

the lady in the petrol station was really nice and gave me a free mini pizza :-) tried signing from the end of the stop for about twenty minutes and then the first people i asked for a lift took me to nurenburg. lots of trucks stopped here leaving frankfurt and the car park was nearly full.
