It's not an ideal spot. There are traffic lights, so cars drive slowly, and there's a bus stop where they can stop, but if you're alone, only the cars in front will see you. If there are two of you, one person can go a little ahead so passing cars can see them first.

Got a ride to Raststätte Muldental after 9 minutes.

Got a ride fast but it was only to Dresdner Tor gas station rather than Dresden itself. I suggest you only accept a direct ride, because there’s little local traffic from there.

Decent traffic and most cars are going to or towards Leipzig.

A lot of traffic towards Leipzig and Chemnitz.

Not so lucky as some others, but still fairly good. I hitchiked with a sing 'Dresden'. I started on Sunday at 11 a.m., so not many cars going longer distance.

Spot is really a gem for direction Dresden and lot of room to stop, got a ride around 40 mins but no sign. May June July hitchhikers beware : you’ll have to hike around 15 minutes in a dense vegetation ditch full of thorns and wheat shrub, impassable for shoes other than Hike boot or mountaineering.
P.s. found 30€ in cash while walking to the spot. Reminds me how much we all pay for Idiot tax in life…

i have misplaced the marker below; the spot on 'B 6' (at the traffic light) is here.

a perfect (!) spot to leave 'leipzig' to 'dresden' or other places in eastern saxony. the 'paunsdorf center' (the roofed area you see below the marker) is a large shopping mall with excellent public transportation opportunities (tram, bus, even late at night) to the leipzig city center. it took me 30 seconds (!!!) to find a driver taking me on autobahn 'A 14' in the direction of 'dresden'. it is not legal (!) or safe (no shoulder) to stand between here and the 'A 14' on the federal highway 'B 6'. on my personal ranking "1" (very-very poor) to "10" (excellent) i will rate this spot a "9".

Not a good spot for us, cars almost can't stop (most of the cars drive by when the traffic light is green). You should rather walk to the onramp of the motorway.

few vehicles going to dresden. no place for them to stop doesn't help either

Quite good, but traffic is very well organized and cars arrive just when it's green, so they don't stop usually. Be patient...

this area is not as good as advertised. me and a few other hitchhikers spent about 3 hrs to find a ride in front of the shopping centre, at the gas stations and at the traaffic lights. VERY few cars to dresden. we didnt get a ride in the end

Very good for A14 (north) or A2 (northwest - Hannover e. g.). A9 is difficult. A38 is risky - nearly no traffic and/or gas stations here, consider a detour.
