Two guys heading to Belgium, had a sign saying Nürnberg / Frankfurt. Took a while, tried standing by the exit and asking people as they arrived. Eventually found a Belgien car driving to Ghent, the guy let us stay in his cousin's apartment overnight then took us the rest of the way the next morning.―Wienerpolser

We got stuck at this gas station on Sunday evening from 18:00 till 22:00…then we decided to go to sleep behind the nearby restaurant. We started hitchhiking on Monday morning at 6 am and we were picked up by nice driver at 8 am who drove us at least to the following gas station (18 km away - we are stuck here now…so for 2,5 hours and still waiting while writing this review). We are two girls. Trying hitchhing with/without a sign and even approaching people as we are so desperate. Nothing seems to work. We wanted to go to direction of Norimberk. Preferably Regensburg, Pilsen and final destination Prague. This never happend to us. Ususally we wait like 30 minutes. Münich seems like a very bad place for hitchhiking as we were stuck at another gas station on north (aiming south) for 3,5 hours.―Nicolette
