Very little traffic, most of it local. Probably better to ask here, but most won’t be going past Vac. I was thumbing with a sign (‘E77 - Krakow) and had a couple of offers that far or nearer until a woman heading to the border with Slovakia eventually took me. Station bathroom is paid or with purchase. Truckers were mostly there to take their pausa or going to a nearby warehouse.―Movethathoof

Maybe I had a bit of a bad luck but after over an hour someone stopped (he said he made an U turn just to come back and pick me up lol) so ig sometimes the cars go a bit fast, there are 3 lanes, there s a traffic light right before this spot (large bus station, enough room to stop) but when nobody is crossing the light is always green, so it can happen that traffic is fast). Anyways this guys took me to just before Hatvan where there is a very good spot to catch longer rides going north. I was going to Kosice, held a Miskolc sign. Not great not terrible. I think you have to get a ride even if it takes a while. Once on the E71 it s easy. No shadow tho.―PolyglotAbroadYT

The traffic is really low, mostly trucks, not many passenger cars stop here. Started asking drivers late afternoon found my ride only next morning. On the upside, the staff asked if I can set tent somewhere near the station offered me a sleep on a couch of station's cafe.

Thumbing didn't work here. So we tried to ask around. Though this is tough as a non-Hungarian speaker. But that worked for us―LJIsTooShort

We were hitch-hiking there on Sunday and the traffic was extremely low. Basically local drivers. We were moving between station and entrance to the station on the highway and it took us 3-4 hours to find a ride to the boarder (which was much easier to find a ride to Poland).Probably during the week it's much better.

On Saturday morning it is not a busy gas station but I got a direct car to Debrecen after 30 minutes. Although it is diffucult place becasue you have to check the cars by the gas station, behind the gas station and at the door of the McDonalds. So you will run a lot between these 3 places, but you will catch a car to east (Miskolc, Debrecen, Nyíregyháza) and north (Salgótarján) really easy.―Anonymous
