The two gas stations are communicated with an underpass, so it's easy to change direction. It's possible to ask for crossing the locked doors to the town during the shift change (slightly before 06:00, 14:00 and 22:00). My waiting time: 20 minutes to Milano

A guy drop us in the gas station because he was going to Torino and we were going to Verona, we putted a panel of Milano and Verona, after one hour and half Police came to the gas station and they saw us! fortunately they were nice to they asked us to hide ourself the time they will leave, so after they left we continued to hitchhike again and we found a directly ride to verona after asking too many people in the enterence of the restaurant.

Bad spot to go to France, too many other directions.
I was took here by the driver from Genova, fortunatelty I found someone who took me to the first gas station inside the highway direction Ventimiglia.

This is the last big gas station before France, so lots of people passes through here.

Normal spot in order to get rides road to Genova, Alessandria, Milano or Torino. Right at the end of the last long painted median strip before the toll. You can have a good eye communication with the drivers because they pass close to you for your left and also for your right. The traffic is affluent and the cars are slowing down. It's better to use a sign.

not exactly the spot, but look forthe entrance of the port. there are ferries coming time to time with lot's of trucks to Slovenia, North-Italy, Hungary, Ukraine, etc. stand after the roundabout, because there is a place for them to pull down.

We asked everybody there but most cars were full or only going 10km. So we decided to ask Truckdrivers and the second one could take as almost until Girona after his break from 9hours so we waited there inside the autogrill and tried to sleep and watched Netflix. Before 3am we started driving. But normally the Trucks aren't allowed to take people because they only have 2 seats most of the time. It was the longest and most comfortable ride so far (We could Sleep in the Beds)
