Good spot on a bus stop. The only con is barriers that limit visibility, so you have to be on the stop, not the sidewalk. Got a ride to Valmiera.―Tobiacha

To Riga. Usually I'm hhiking here, when I'm returning from Estonia. But mayby its not the best point to start to hhike from Valmiera. Time of waiting is not more then 25 min.―Anonymous

To Tartu. If you want to avoid to enter the city, you can try to hhike on a ring road. Direct cars to Tartu or Valka usually choose this way, but they are not a majority of traffic. The time that you will spend hhiking on a ring road is more or less like a time that you will walk through the city.―Anonymous

Someone working for the Valmiera municipality dropped me there. There is an intercity bus stop direction Valka. There wasn't so much traffic so taking the bus could be a last solution. It's like 2 € but it is very slow (more than 1 hour for less than 50 km) and you are dropped at some kilometers from Valga in Estonia.―Couleurmate
