This is the main petrolstation before the border of Germany. Here it is easy to get a far ride into Germany. Main direction is: Oldenburg, Bremen, Hannover.―Anonymous

This is the main hitchhiking spot from Delfzijl to Groningen. Difficult to stop, but there are not that much cars passing what makes it easier to stop. Watch out for golf GTI-drivers!―Anonymous

This is a good stop in the direction to Groningen. Cars drive slow due to the traffic lights.―Anonymous

Not so crowded, but I guess if you stop a car it's going far.―Koendev

Not a lot of people heading to Germany; still one of the best spots to hitchhike east from Groningen. Try avoiding the A7-A28(0) route if coming from elsewhere in the Netherlands, the route via Hengelo (A1-A30) is a lot more busy.―Anonymous

After I saw the comments I thought it will be an easy spot. But I just met allot of locals that stop after here or trucks that are just waiting hours for someone. Also remember that trucks will not take you with them before the border- you are a risk for them if you have something illegal. After 15 minutes asking everyone on this spot a campervan took me with them. Crossing the border was luckily really chill.―Amadea

Spot is quite good. Cars have the place to stop for you. Also enough people coming.―Amadea
