There was lots of traffic and commuters that were driving to the Netherlands. Got dropped off right at the train station.

Lots of commuters so can get short rides to the next town from people going to work.

Great spot for going north to Amsterdam, and okay spot to get west to Rotterdam.
Unfortunately the staff of the gas station told me I can't ask drivers for a lift at the gas station itself, so I had to resort to using a sign on the exit of the parking lot. A bit annoying, as the gas station had lots of cars coming through.
I the end, I didn't wait too long and finally found somebody who drove me close to Rotterdam.

Amazing spot if you're going anywhere in the Netherlands. There was a lot of traffic and I quickly found a driver who took me to the service station in the south of Nijmegen.
In retrospect, I should have waited here longer and looked for a longer ride.

On a Saturday, there was very low traffic. But I was lucky and found a driver who got me to Goch (Service station Kalbecker Forst) very quickly.

It's a great spot to go West. On a quiet Saturday morning, I got a ride all the way to NL within half an hour waiting, asking drivers and no sign.

The Michrndorf rest area is easily and quickly accessible by the multiple bus lines from Potsdam Hbf and a short walk.

This was the starting point of my first long-distance solo hitchhiking journey: from Berlin to Belgium. It couldn't have started off better than with this 589km, 6h15 ride :-)

To Nijmegen. There will be lots of people going from the airport to the city and back, and they will be using this ramp. The last flights come in around midnight, so after 0.30 it'll get really quiet here.

Traffic is thin, but almost all of it goes to Nijmegen or further, and there is ample place to stop.
Expect around 15-30 minutes on average for Nijmegen. At Hoofdstraat there is a busstop (83), which provides an alternative way of getting into the city.
