Hard to find how to get to this gas station (there is small path from Oude Venloseveg). But place is good, many cars―Anonymous

Great spot for going north to Amsterdam, and okay spot to get west to Rotterdam.Unfortunately the staff of the gas station told me I can't ask drivers for a lift at the gas station itself, so I had to resort to using a sign on the exit of the parking lot. A bit annoying, as the gas station had lots of cars coming through.
I the end, I didn't wait too long and finally found somebody who drove me close to Rotterdam.

Amazing spot if you're going anywhere in the Netherlands. There was a lot of traffic and I quickly found a driver who took me to the service station in the south of Nijmegen. In retrospect, I should have waited here longer and looked for a longer ride.

It's a great spot to go West. On a quiet Saturday morning, I got a ride all the way to NL within half an hour waiting, asking drivers and no sign. The Michrndorf rest area is easily and quickly accessible by the multiple bus lines from Potsdam Hbf and a short walk.
This was the starting point of my first long-distance solo hitchhiking journey: from Berlin to Belgium. It couldn't have started off better than with this 589km, 6h15 ride :-)

Traffic is thin, but almost all of it goes to Nijmegen or further, and there is ample place to stop.Expect around 15-30 minutes on average for Nijmegen. At Hoofdstraat there is a busstop (83), which provides an alternative way of getting into the city.

unfriendly staff at the gas station - not allowing to talk to drivers and hitchhike only at the exit. very little traffic also in this gas station(wonder why...). avoid if possible―Anonymous

I got lost trying to find this place. The bus driver took me to another bus stop instead of the one written here. Took me 5 min to get a ride there―Gustavobretz

Got dropped at the 'truck stop' here... not much traffic and lots of 'you don't belong here' looks from old people and famiies/tourists which seem to be who go into and out of this town... 6 hours later and I take a bus in the opposite direction to Eindhoven where I get a ride east within 20 minutes.―Anonymous
