Asked around, and some people were willing to help, but weren't going the right direction. After 20min found someone going direction of Amsterdam, who dropped me on a great resting spot/petrol station next to the highway there.

Got a ride with a truck all the way to the Netherlands, while trying to hitch with a sign, close to the entry to the highway. Male/summer

My final hike in this trip: A very nice Holland man came up to me (oh magic) and offered me the lift to Haag, but I prefered waiting a lift to Amsterdan, and he changed his route and dropped me at Bussum, and I blackrode the train to central station in the late afternoon, guessed everybody was offwork, sorry)... and there is wifi here

Not a bad spot, just not a huge amount of traffic. I was waiting by the exit.

It took longer for me to walk here from my accommodation than to get a ride.

Ukranian truck driver picked me up and drove me almost to the German border. Very easy, just go up to people.

Was hitching to Germany and came to this spot after not much luck at the popular lifthalte spot at Amstel Station. Got picked up by a kind couple here after about 30 minutes.
Enough space for cars to stop just before the highway sign, good for getting on the A1

Tankstation \"Lucasgat\", not much traffic because 20km before already is a tankstation. But some people going to Apeldoorn/Deventer! But take a look on the sign at the end of the parking area ;) Waited round 40min there.

When we got off here employees immediately told us we couldn't ask for rides in front of the shop and had to stand at the exit. Because it was snowing we were asking people anyway and didn't get bothered by the staff for that. Something to keep in mind though...

For a ride to Breda/Antwerp it took about 45 minutes, but we were offered different rides to Utrecht or Amsterdam. So it depends where you're heading.

Got dropped here many times, it's not really my favourite and I prefer hitchhiking from the exit lane in the center of amersfoort. My shortest wait was 5 minutes for direction den haag, but quite a few times I had to wait for almost one hour.
