Asked around, and some people were willing to help, but weren't going the right direction. After 20min found someone going direction of Amsterdam, who dropped me on a great resting spot/petrol station next to the highway there.

Amsterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht. Fuel station on A1 between access lane 17 and 16 â€œTolnegenâ€ (20 km). From Apeldoorn bus 102 stop â€œWittenbergâ€ (Wittenberg), bus 107 stop â€œCentrumâ€ (Stroe), 25 m N Wolweg, 1200 m W Stroeerschoolweg, 250 m N Gruttoweg ][ A1. 50 min. Fuel station on the motorway. Although not a petrol station, it's a good place to hitch, as people stop here to go to the restaurants on the other side. Perhaps busier in summer than in winter. Took me half an hour.

Arrived here little before 8pm, it was almost no traffic. We managed to ask to 30 cars and not even one pretended to go direction Amsterdam. After 10pm the shop is closing and traffic is minimal. We still tried until 11pm, before going camping here. In the morning a lot of traffic and we got a direct ride to AMsterdam in 10 minutes, second car we asked. Really contrasting experiences
