Outside the school there is a parking area which is safe to stop, So long as the school is not busy, if it is go further up near the cemetery. But this was good as the crossroads slow the traffic and visibility is good.30 minute wait and a gisbourne sign got a ride direct to gisbourne through the beautiful gorge route!
