I mean, kinda? It worked? Not the best though, cos people drive a bit fast. You’re very visible though. Got a ride with a guy going to Hamar, but he went out of his way and dropped me outside of Elverum - cool beans!―Bigdeidiot

Way too fast from the highway, not very visible though a good place to stop. Had to buy a truck driver a drink to get a ride to someplace better―Bigdeidiot

The spot is nice, everyone is going to the highway, but not so many cars here (but I've been there Sunday afternoon) and most of them seemed to go only short distances. Finally, I got a ride nearly to Hamar, but waited hour and a half.―lelian

Three girls, got a ride to Oslo, waited for only a couple of minutes, in the morning. Lots of empty cars of people who drop off their friends/family.―friki

Bad place - at least in the dark. There is a gas station but not too many who drive south use it.―Anonymous

A good spot (Statoil petrol Station), where trucks and cars are driving south and/or north. I just the first guy I met and got a hike to Hamar (50 km North)―Anonymous

Excellent spot to get out of the airport and towards Oslo. I did this twice, first 10.2017 and 03.2018. 20 mins and 10 mins waiting.―Anonymous

We reached it from the airport, around 8 km. Enough Space for the cars to stop. Managed to get a ride to Hamar.―Anonymous

August, Saturday evening 7PM. Aside from the gas station, I tried this spot to get to Dal or Espa, north on E6. I tried for about 20min.One local advised me that that was pointless, there's only local traffic.
I got a ride to the airport which passed Jessheim petrol station with a friendly Californian who was listening to Nujabes (big plus).

Only one parking lot feeds into here as far as I can tell. That's fine if you wanna go to Oslo, since many cars go there. For going north this may be a problem. There is a speed bump, so cars have to go slower. And it is below a bridge, so you're safe from the rain.I tried for 10min on a saturday evening in August, 1900. The norwegian public holidays ended this weekend.
I found the frequency somewhat low. So I only tried for ten minutes and then left.

Not a perfect spot because the road goes downhill, trucks can't stop there, but good enough - there is enough space to pull out for a regular car. 43 mins wait and a 280km ride to Dal close to the Oslo airport. Nothing to complain. There are many gaz stations and supermarkets there.
