I was just walking down the road, thumbing with a sign that read "Hamar" as I walked. A car stopped within minutes and took me to a decent gas station. The further north you go, the fewer cars there are, but the more willing people are to take you.―martih

I don't think that you could get a better spot for going north. I was here late in the evening, with a lot of local traffic, but a few cars were going to the airport. I would advise you to take a ride to the airport (the first one I declined and later regretted it), get off near Jessenheim, and hitch from there, because there are a lot of local cars.―martih

The spot is nice, everyone is going to the highway, but not so many cars here (but I've been there Sunday afternoon) and most of them seemed to go only short distances. Finally, I got a ride nearly to Hamar, but waited hour and a half.―lelian
