Cars go pretty fast, but they can see you clearly, and it's a bus stop, so they can easily pull over. A sign Stjordal. The guy brought me to a better place than this one. Maybe I just got lucky, but it is a decent spot.

This was my luck spot, BUT check if there is still a construction site here. There is a construction traffic light, and cars have to stop. It's the main route, and from time to time, there are roadworks, which are, in my opinion, the best places to hitch around here. I found a car all the way to Trondheim. Btw: there is a cool urbex place nearby, an old house, so if you end up here, you might as well check it out.

We were two people waiting for 60 minutes with a sign towards Oslo, we had no luck and desided to take the bus to Lundamo and try our luck here. Seemed like some people where going to Oslo, but not many enough for worth while.

You do not have any more choices than this one, when you want to go out from the island.

good spot, enough space for cars to pull over, got a ride towards the south about 30 km, had to wait for a while but nice to get out of the city

Should be good spot, if you go at the right time, but Lundamo going south is just better. Missed train so had to go here. Got a ride from someone going to Lundamo.

Waited two hours unsuccessfully with two people and a sign, but with one person and no sign, I got 3 people to pull over in 30 minutes!
It's a good spot - visible with a nice place for cars to pull in.

Nice spot with a sheltered bus stop. The three of us waited for 15 minutes and got an amazing ride to Lillehammer.

TONs of traffic w/ Norwegians going to the city after harryhandel. Raining hard and some lady took pity on me and picked me up near-instantly, but I don’t expect it would take long otherwise

Very good spot to spend the night and to hitchhike, although the bar is an expensive one.
