Right after the roundabout there’s a little bit of space to pull over though its technically walkway, not enough for a truck but enough for a car. That way you can catch all the traffic going to Lithuania, as many people stop at the store across the street and there’s no where else to catch them. Only took me about 20-30 minutes to get a ride all the way to Kaunas. Nice couple.

Stood here with a sign that said Kaunas. Mostly local traffic. Got very lucky with a ride straight to Tallin.

Mostly locals, but also some people headin north. Only waited 15 min and got really lucky with a ride straight to Tallin.

Lots of Polish trucks resting. Passenger cars mostly local traffic. But some Polish drivers returning back home. I got lucky and made it all the way to other side of Poland.

Asking everyone around if they are going to Lithuania. But half of it was staying in Suwalki. Lithuanian cars were usually full of things. But eventually a estonian camper took us to Kaunas. But still probably its the best gas station to get to Lithuania

Quite bad spot. There is for sure a lot of space to stop but cars just go fast and its two lanes so a bit shit. But eventually with a sign we got a ride to Suwalki. But from I saw on the road not a lot of traffic goes past Augustow. Even thi there are million cars leaving Byalistok.

don't understand guys who advise to ask around. all cars leave through one corridor, just stand there with a sign (I found clean cardboard behind the store) and you will succeed. preserve energy.

i don't know how to rate this better, just get to the border as fast as possible, your best option is to find a polish person or tourist or some kind? lithuanians either go to mariampole or just don't pick you up, very little people actually stop with the thumb, better to just wait and ask around everyone who stops here

Busy service station. Was able to find a lift to Suwalki but should be very easy to find one to Lithuania.

Good spot to get a lift by lithuanian drivers - there is a roundabout before the spot so traffic is a bit slower. I stayed with sign Kaunas before "Taxi" road sign, as there is enough space to stop for drivers. Got direct ride to Kaunas within 10 minutes (but maybe I was a bit lucky).

You can also try your luck by asking around at the gas station across the street.

A bus stop with enough space for cars to stop. Good spot if you want to get out of Augustów and go to Suwałki (which is eventually much better city to get a ride to Lithuania). Waited 25 minutes with sign Suwałki/Kaunas.

Bus stop behind roundabout. Slow traffic. Perfect spot.

Lots of foreign cars driving long distances, and trucks. Amazing spot. Truckers were competing to give me a ride lolz

Disagree with other review. Quite a lot of traffic in the gas station, people stopping to eat, and also going out from the stores behind. Possible to ask around and also just stand at the exit with a sign. Had sign PL, got a ride to my destination Suwałki.

We were two people (male and felmale). Standing there for quite a long time. It is a road from a town so many people yust go from town to different parts of town. We had a sign Litwa. We’ve got a ride to Suwałki.

Even though this was a quick ride for me, you can likely find a better spot. There is a large truck parking lot and a McDonald's drive-through; many people use it, so that might be a good opportunity. Also, there is free Wi-Fi at the nearby McDonald's.
