Took me a long time to wait here, but eventually a couple picked me up and took me straight onto the IP3 (east, direction Carregal do Sal).The issue is that there are not many cars and most drive only very short distance. Maybe this spot is better in the evening, when people return home from work.
The reward for the long wait: the views from the road are absolutely stunning!

Got picked up instantly here (around noon). There's a very famous restaurant here, that apparently sells great sandwiches. "Bar 21"Amazing spot for going east on the IP3!

We were two with a sign saying “5km?” heading direction east (serra da estrela). Caught a ride to Luso after 20mins!Great spot, since cars drive slowly by the roundabout and just behind theres space for them to stop:))

The spot is good - gas station and small restaurant where many people stop for the dinner. But it took us (2 girls) so long to get out from here (people mostly travel very short distance or have full car).―Czajka

I will not recomend this spot - don’t get here by choice. But if you end up in here it’s definitely possible to get out. There is a small parking to stop cars safe. During 50 min 2-3 cars stopped to ask if we want to get to Coimbra, then finally we found somebody going to the east.―Czajka
