Pretty good spot, got a ride to Torda by a family going to Târgu Mureș/Marosvásárhely

I was immediately picked up by a lovely Hungarian lady from Cluj, she offered to house me and took me to the Hungarian celebration of világítás, as well as setting me up with a bunch of people who helped me a lot during my travels across Transylvania

One guy stopped but he asked money, second one stopped thanks Christian. Not a lot of room to stop but people go to Cluj from there. Better than the other spot IMO

Rompetrol station. Medium good spot. Lot of local traffic, ask for Dej instead of Bistrica (it's closer). Lot of people speak English and are helpful. Still it took me approx. 70 minutes to get a lift to Dej. Maybe standing with a sign next to the traffic light where cars need to stop, would be better..

Looks great, and had a sign reading Oradea, but a lot of local traffic and no one waswilling to stop for me. I resorted to taking bus M51 (that doesn't show on Google Maps) to Gilau and try there.

It works, some buses take you really nearby but good luck finding the timetables.

Tried it some meters up the hill and it worked well. So I really can recommend this place.

Good hitch spot. Went to Turda from here easily. Driver refused money. continued to Sighisoara from Turda.

Best place to go to Oradea. There is a lot of competition here. A lot of drivers will ask you for money. We didn't want to, so we walked a bit ahead and after 20 minutes someone picked us just because we look like travelers, not like commuters.

If you start early enough (sunrise) it wont be so crowded, Look like a traveler with a Backpack and a Shield and its easy enough to get a ride to Oradea for free. If the driver enjoyed your company he might even drop you at the Border to Hungary if you ask politely!

Good place but a lot of people who want to pick you up for money so beware.

like in the describtion
You need to get to Node N, a large clover-leaf intersection in the Mănăştur neighborhood. You can do this by taking any of the buses/trolley-buses 9, 24, 29, 52 (to the Bucium stop) or 1, 6, 25, 43, 43B (to the Clãbucet stop) (these cover most of the city, but if you can't find a stop for one of them, ask around). It's best to ask someone how to get to Mănăştur, so you know in which direction to get on the bus. If you got off at Clãbucet, follow the road, make a right, and you'll be at the Bucium stop. From the Bucium stop, follow the road for about 100m. The large clover-leaf intersection should be visible. Make a left at the intersection. Right after it, there's a good hitchhiking spot, and there may be others hitching there.
i waited 45 minutes and then got a lift to Linz (austria) 900 km

Sign said "Brasov," got a lift to Brasov, no problem. I was happy to get the lift so I gave the driver 20 lei. However, the driver was more .. "western" and didn't expect me to pay, but said, "Pay what you want and can." We picked up many hitchhikers on the way, and eventually the driver made a shit load of money.
