One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a cloudy day. On my way from Vulcan to a village Rachiti, 10 kms west of Targu Jiu (successful).The place look okish. An entrance to a car show room (I think so). No much room to stop but enough. Good visibility. Cars go slowly from the roundabout.
After 15 minutes I got 10 kms right to my final destination.

You can start to hitchhike after the bridge (on the rifht side there is a bus station...go a little bit further): good spot if you want to go to Motru/Baia Herculane/Drobeta-Turnu Severin―Anonymous

Good spot for going south, cars are going slow out of the roundabout. Bus stop so they have room to stop. I had a sign for Târgu Jiu and got picked up quickly after not having any luck closer to town.―Anonymous
