Waiting for long time, lots of turkish trucks passes to the bulgaria and turkey direction but not very willing to pick up hitchikers. Long waiting time but possible to find a ride all the way to sofia or istanbul―Anonymous

On the pay-toll ramp at the exit from highway, ask people or just stay there with a sign. It\\'s easy to get a ride towards Zajecar, Bor etc.―Anonymous

Little bit difficult because it's on the highway. You literally standing between two roads and everyone goes fast. My friend and I hitchhiked south to Paraćin and we were lucky because a truck driver from North Macedonia gave us a ride after more than a hour of waiting―Kompas

The best spot for the area. Waiting directly at the toll booth/ticket machine works better than in front. Works for hitchhiking north and south, so a sign makes sense. On a Tuesday noon about 2-3 cars per minute passed.

Again we got a ride (couple) in almost zero time to Belgrade. There is no space for cars to stop, however cars go very slow and drivers do not mind to block traffic ;)―Magik

Autokomanda is a solid place to hitch out from Belgrade in direction of Nis. A ‘Rampa’ sign helps a lot.―Magik

HH at 8 AM in "Autokomanda". One of the best spots in Belgrade to go south along A1 highway. Got a lift to my destination (Paraćin) with a driver, who was going somewhere close to Macedonian border.―Magik
