Got picked up instantly, with a sign saying Belegrad. Was lucky, but this is a great spot too―jkczech

I was walking down the road with a sign saying Belegrad (in Cyrillic) and got a short ride to the beginning of the highway - it's easy to walk along this road - plenty of space for cars to stop―jkczech

Border stations are always good. Had a sign saying Kruševac and Belegrad (both in Cyrillic) and got a ride to Kruševac:))―jkczech

The new roundabout is perfect spot to hh towards either highway (Belgrade, Nis) or Kraljevo and west. The only problem is to reach this place: from city center, it takes 30minutes on foot, taxi costs like 2 euros and last option is public transport because it is not so frequent.―Anonymous

Small correction: to get to the roundabout, it's easiest to take a local bus at the beginning of "Jasicki put" (just after the crossroads). Bus driver (or anyone else at the bus stop) most likely won't speak any other language but Serbian! Sometimes you need to pay for a ticket (~0.5eur) but most of the time you don't need to.―Anonymous

It's not really in Romania, but in Serbia!―Mileagainst

Another option (especially for going abroad) might be going to the highway, in the direction to Nis there is a huge parkig lot with motel and restaurant called "EUROPA" with lots of trucks parked, so just ask around. Good for getting a ride towards Bulgaria/Turkey or Macedonia/Greece―Anonymous

It's better to hh at the roundabout on the bypass road north from the city because only locals are using this road to go to neighbouring villages―Mileagainst

On the pay-toll ramp at the exit from highway, ask people or just stay there with a sign. It\\'s easy to get a ride towards Zajecar, Bor etc.―Anonymous

Pay-toll ramp, just ask the people who are taking the tickets to enter the highway. Good for both directions: Nis and other places on the south or Belgrade and the north―Anonymous

At the beginning of \\"Bruski put\\", next to the construction site of hypermarket \\"Rodic\\". The only spot for hh towards Brus, Blace, Kopaonik, \\"Devils town\\" etc. The most probably you will get some short rides, I don\\'t recommend taking one if it\\'s not to the lake \\"Celije\\" or further.―Anonymous

It was really slow on a saturday, but I think I just had bad luck. At first I tried to get to Sofia directly, after an hour I switched to Niš and hitched directly from the sidelane of the highway, which worked fine. There are a lot of trucks and enough cars, so I think in general its a good spot during work days, on the weekend there was mostly local traffic and trucks on a break though. Has a restaurant too.―Anonymous

Little bit difficult because it's on the highway. You literally standing between two roads and everyone goes fast. My friend and I hitchhiked south to Paraćin and we were lucky because a truck driver from North Macedonia gave us a ride after more than a hour of waiting―Kompas

Again we got a ride (couple) in almost zero time to Belgrade. There is no space for cars to stop, however cars go very slow and drivers do not mind to block traffic ;)―Magik

HH at 8 AM in "Autokomanda". One of the best spots in Belgrade to go south along A1 highway. Got a lift to my destination (Paraćin) with a driver, who was going somewhere close to Macedonian border.―Magik
