There is space to stop for a car but most of traffic turns left right before this spot and those who go further towards but after some waiting I found ride right to the Belgrade city center―Autostopeks

One male one female, signed Milići in order to head to Zvornik (and ultimately Belgrade). Cars are going kinda fast but they can see you from a distanceThe most wild hitchhiking experience in my life happened. Two guys driving out from the gas station said they could take us to Milići. Then on the way they said they could do Zvornik too. Eventually they said they could take us all the way to Belgrade -- and they did
They're from Serbia themselves (work in BiH?) and were driving a Belgrade car, so I supposed they had family/friends here. But if I understood correctly, they were initially heading back towards Han Pijesak after dropping us off in Milići (already the opposite direction of where they were going)
They treated us to snacks and drinks along the way and played cool music. The only unsettling thing was both of them each drank about 5 bottles of beer the whole way. I suppose they drink and drive often, and we arrived in Belgrade safely, but it could've not been the case

It was quite slow for Bosnia, which is also unusual because I am a single woman :) However, I first tried closed to the roundabout, which was a bad idea. After 30mn I decided to move. Just stand at the exit of the petrol station as indicated by the gps location of the green point on the map. The cars there are very slow and you can still hitchhike on the main road if you want !―particulefine

Mostly local traffic but it’s by a stoplight so people get a chance to see you and think and there is space to pullover. Getting a ride to Novo Sad is fairly easy but further is a bit hard.―Lyll

All the car traffic from the border goes through here. People drive very slowly and there is lots of space for them to stop. Got picked up by a Turkish family on vacation and they took us all the way to Belgrad. They even wanted us to go with them to Budapest the next day but we were cramped for time.―Lyll

For Zagreb, you are better asking for people to get you to the toll station, at Šimanovci, about 15 minutes drive, and then hitchhike to Zagreb from there. For Novi Sad, I was asking people around and got a ride eventually

Honestly seemed like the best spot for getting out of Belgrade, and the two times I’ve hitched it has worked. Cars are going fast but they’re all going in your direction. The first time I waited four minutes, the second time forty. Neither time were they going far, but as other comments mention get a ride to the tollbooth not far ahead and you’re set.―Movethathoof

I travelled by bus 73 to the NIS petrol station, and asked the drivers whether they go towards Novi Sad. A delivery guy with a freezer van took me to the highway, I wanted to get there to be able to continue my trip towards Hungary.―Newbyfem

I think this is quite a good spot to get out of belgrade north. Held a novi sad sign and got a ride like in 30 mins. Ofc there is two lanes so a lot of times trucks are blocking for cars to stop but there is no space on ramp to stop and here cars go slowly and there is plenty space to stop for people going up the highway.―kiausiniuvagis

Dont think its a good spot to wait. Cars just go too fast. And I was in the morning waiying so there was a lot of traffic on this street so multiple times I got blocked by thevtruck going out. I think is much better to move a bit closer to the city where the traffic lights are―kiausiniuvagis

Low traffic gas station and cars are often full but almost all of them go to Serbia and to Belgrade. You can find a car that is not full. Ask around with Serbian words to be polite and don't use a board. I had actually made some old Serbian friends that wanted to help me find an empty car lol. Thanks Milica and Zora!―cavalierrustique

Bit long but I guess that’s what you get when thumbing in Serbia, got a ride to Vršac after an hour―Arphile

Probably better to ask but I stood with a sign at the exit. One hour without success, then I took a break at the McDonald’s and a guy picked me up right after to Belgrade, where public transport is free―Arphile

I used bus stop, because it was raining. A lot of traffic there, but the right lane is for turning right, so drivers need to change lanes to stop for you. A lot of cars going to airport or to Novi Sad highway. With sign Cacak/Valjevo I only took a ride to Obrenovac in 2h―mandat

Good spot, it's popular station on highway. I got ride directly to Belgrade in few minutes. If the driver asks you to came across the border by foot it is ok. The customs service are used to hitchhikers and crossing the border by foot.―mandat

Mi rifuzis, ĉar tio estus tro multekosta.―Jurobola
