I travelled by bus 73 to the NIS petrol station, and asked the drivers whether they go towards Novi Sad. A delivery guy with a freezer van took me to the highway, I wanted to get there to be able to continue my trip towards Hungary.

Was trying to get to Hungary. Wrote Subotica on sign and got a ride by the guy going there. Asked to drop me off at Subotica toll station. I think its better to write Subotica because from what I saw there was not a lot of people going to Hungary so its better to probably just try to get to Subotica and then try Hungary. There was a looot of traffic but most of it cleared up after Novi Sad

I think this is quite a good spot to get out of belgrade north. Held a novi sad sign and got a ride like in 30 mins. Ofc there is two lanes so a lot of times trucks are blocking for cars to stop but there is no space on ramp to stop and here cars go slowly and there is plenty space to stop for people going up the highway.

Dont think its a good spot to wait. Cars just go too fast. And I was in the morning waiying so there was a lot of traffic on this street so multiple times I got blocked by thevtruck going out. I think is much better to move a bit closer to the city where the traffic lights are

I had a cardboard with NIŠ -> SOFIA sign but it didn't help much. What it helped it was asking the truck drivers if they would take me.

Probably better to ask but I stood with a sign at the exit. One hour without success, then I took a break at the McDonald’s and a guy picked me up right after to Belgrade, where public transport is free

Took a bit of time but eventually you’ll find a ride going towards either Belgrade or Novi Sad.

Lot of traffic, cars going slow there. You can stand directly next to the toll booths and there is shade, which is a big plus in summer. We were 2 guys and used Hungary sign

Great spot for hitching out of Belgrade north. There is quiet a lot of traffic, mostly local though. Easy to get a ride to a gas station or toll station on A1 northbound somewhere near Belgrade from which you can then hitch hike towards Novi Sad and Hungary. We were 2 guys, used Novi Sad sign and got a ride to Stara Pazova toll station.

I got to this station by Bus from Beograd(they're currently free due to protests in Serbia), but be careful because they're chaotic and Google maps doesn't show real bus schedule and routes. Better use Serbian app 'Moovit' to see actual information.

This spot was amazing! No many cars stop here, but for me it was a direct shot! After 5 minutes of asking drivers directly for a ride, I got picked up by a nice Serbian truck driver that went all way to Montenegro, which was extremely lucky!!!

The Petrol station is barely visible on the map, but it is spot with few trucks and cars going to Nisz, Cacak or Pozarevac.

This is a great hitching spot for rides to Novi Sad, Budapest, or Vienna. I had made two signs, one for Vienna, one for Budapest, planning to get to Vienna with two rides, but there was so much traffic headed straight to Austria that my 'Buda' sign was unnecessary. After you get off the 706 bus, walk up onto the highway, and there's a huge shoulder, big enough for a truck to pull over.

somewhere over here there is "zmay" (i might not wrote in the right way, but it sounds like that) petrol station. you can get to it by taking buses number 612 or 611 from the city (you might neet the tram or another bus to get to it, the city is huge). from the patrol stations is not so easy to hitchhike, but you shuld just try to get to the pay toll on the highway and from there it is much more simple.

Senseless if you are going toward Zagreb. It's worth coming here only if you go towards Novi Sad. If not still take the ride to the next gas station, much better chances there

(BOY AND GIRL) With a panel of Croatia in the exit of the gas station we waited quite a long time (2hours) we even used sometimes the highway side but it didn't work not because it's forbidden but we weren't lucky! I'm saying this because there is some drivers were entering from the exit side! yes! it's Serbia don't be surprised.

While we were hitchhiking there was a couple hitchhiking in the entrance of the gas station with a big sign novi sad and they caught a car in only 10min (highway side) and after they left another guy came to hitchhike again to novi sad and he caught a car in only 10min as well in the same place. so if your destination in Novi sad I think staying in the entrance is better otherwise stay in the exit of Macdonals I think is good and ask people (I didn't try)
