Mostly local traffic but it’s by a stoplight so people get a chance to see you and think and there is space to pullover. Getting a ride to Novo Sad is fairly easy but further is a bit hard.―Lyll

I hate this spot. TONS of traffic, but the much, much greater part is going to Novi Sad. My arm got sore thumbing as I waited; the flow is never ending. Finally got a ride to Subotica after almost two hours, after five offers of rides to Novi Sad (even with my ‘Buda’ sign), and one car of jerks with German plates who dangerously veered toward me as if to tease they’d spot and then zoomed off 🙄―Movethathoof

Honestly seemed like the best spot for getting out of Belgrade, and the two times I’ve hitched it has worked. Cars are going fast but they’re all going in your direction. The first time I waited four minutes, the second time forty. Neither time were they going far, but as other comments mention get a ride to the tollbooth not far ahead and you’re set.―Movethathoof

Was trying to get to Hungary. Wrote Subotica on sign and got a ride by the guy going there. Asked to drop me off at Subotica toll station. I think its better to write Subotica because from what I saw there was not a lot of people going to Hungary so its better to probably just try to get to Subotica and then try Hungary. I think this is quite a good spot to get out of belgrade north. Held a novi sad sign and got a ride like in 30 mins. Ofc there is two lanes so a lot of times trucks are blocking for cars to stop but there is no space on ramp to stop and here cars go slowly and there is plenty space to stop for people going up the highway.―kiausiniuvagis

Dont think its a good spot to wait. Cars just go too fast. And I was in the morning waiying so there was a lot of traffic on this street so multiple times I got blocked by thevtruck going out. I think is much better to move a bit closer to the city where the traffic lights are―kiausiniuvagis

A lot of Serbians cars going after the work (16-17:00) back home. A lot of traffic. I believe this is a good spot (especially for Serbia, where they don't usually take hitchhikers). You don't even need a sign.True that you won't get far though.

Worst place you can find for hitchhiking. We waited here for more than a day in the summer. Every car is rather full of families returning from vacation or refugees with car from switzerland. We had a cardboard saying Hrvatska, then we switched to Croatia, then we just asked people, but nobody wanted to take us or they had full car. After day on this gas station it seems like spawn for refugees with expensive cars. Stay in Belgrad instead, it's a nice city―Agamaj

Great spot for hitching out of Belgrade north. There is quiet a lot of traffic, mostly local though. Easy to get a ride to a gas station or toll station on A1 northbound somewhere near Belgrade from which you can then hitch hike towards Novi Sad and Hungary. I got to this station by Bus from Beograd(they're currently free due to protests in Serbia), but be careful because they're chaotic and Google maps doesn't show real bus schedule and routes. Better use Serbian app 'Moovit' to see actual information.This spot was amazing! No many cars stop here, but for me it was a direct shot! After 5 minutes of asking drivers directly for a ride, I got picked up by a nice Serbian truck driver that went all way to Montenegro, which was extremely lucky!!!

Ended up here (9/2016) and there was no traffic at all on the highway. Don't know why, but even minutes passed by with no car/truck. Slept on parking lot as it was completely empty.Next day noticed some BlaBlaCar going thru so used this to get me out of this 'in nowhere' spot.
Hope a decade later it's OK.
The gas in opposite direction have nice rating so take mine with a grain of salt.

It was rainy night (2016), I arrived late and just slept in rolled tarp around myself and the backpack, in the ditch, between highway and the parking lot before gas, not even walking out.In the morning a gas staff bring me a coffee(!) - TY.
Got lift after a while by a truck near Belgrade.
I'm unlucky with weather here, 23/ of my stays are with the rain.
