When I arrived a guy pulled down to pee, I asked him if he go to Ljubljana and he agree to drop me at the gas station at the border! Grazie Mario!

Perfect spot to go to Trieste, I just asked around and found a Ukrainian family going to Rijeka that even dropped me in the city center. Too kind!

Some cool Italians offered me a ride to the border after 5 mins waiting. The spot itself is great. Good visibility, slow traffic and a massive layby. At the border several motorways merge, so way more long distance options, although perhaps not a perfect spot for hitchike. Still made it to Ljubljana tho. Walking over border was no problem obviously.

Lot of cars afternoon going direction to Venice, but we got a ride just to Palmanova, from where we continued further. We had sign Venice/Verona.

Very small traffic here, just trucks and few cars and people are not so friendly. We were waiting for the car for almost 2 hours and finally one older couple took us (2) to Trieste train station, where we took a public transport to the Barcola part of city, where was a good traffic.

There is a petrol station where you can hitchhike right before the highway, just make sure to have a sign or they won't easily stop.

Got a ride to Koper in Slovenia, easy to cross border here. There is a bus stop, make a sign.

There is a safe place for hitchhiking just before the border crossing. Cars slow down up to 50 km/h and there is a place for save stop. However, almost everybody goes to the Triest city and it’s difficult to find sb going further. A little further, at border crossing, there were policemen but gentile and cheering up in my hitchhiking.

I was stopping with sing Koper and aster a minute or two an o older guy pulled over at the gas station and took me to Izolo (city right next to Koper)

Also during the time I standed there a guy on bike recommended to try the spot next to highway entry few km ahead that people usually hitchhike there.

(direction Rejika) not the best spot but it is doable. after 1 hour a group of germans in a van picked me up. it is a bit hard for cars to stop but they see you from far.

Great spot, loads of traffic going into italy. At the busstop is great but anywhere on a spot where cars can stop is great!!

I asked people that came to the gas station for a ride to anywhere in the croatian coast and two super sympatic italian ladies took me, they were going to Rovinj for a holiday. Nice and busy spot, but also many people going to Italy.

There was space for the cars to stop and a guy took me to a better hitchhiking place(the gas station near the italy/slovenia border. I was prepared to wait for longer as the road was quite small and many cars were not going towards the border.
