I was stopping with sing Koper and aster a minute or two an o older guy pulled over at the gas station and took me to Izolo (city right next to Koper)

Also during the time I standed there a guy on bike recommended to try the spot next to highway entry few km ahead that people usually hitchhike there.

we stood by the side of the road and had a sign Slovenia, not an ideal place, but it worked very well for us, two of the best girls stopped, probably the best stop so far, although the plan was the mountains we went where they went and to the sea, 1.5. swimming in the sea? love it

Probably best to walk towards this spot. You know you're there if you are standing on a bus stop and you can see a yellow sign that says 'Ljubljana-left', 'Olmo-straight', 'some street-right'. If you want to get to Trieste it's better to have a sign because most of the cars are going towards Ljubljana. You can also ask for a ride to the first or second petrol station on the highway and ask drivers who stop there to give you a lift (it worked for us once, when it was really late). This spot is well lit so it's doable to hitch hike from there after dark.

Standing in the bus station, cars are coming from a bend in the road, so they don't have much time to see you, and not much room to stop. Still got a ride to Postojna in half an hour.
