To go towards Madrid/Andalusia: You reach this spot by the public „metrobus“ 430A from Valencia. Its not the red city busses but the yellow metrobus. It starts from the main bus station but dont try to catch it there because noone knows where it departs. We caught it one spot down from there and it came by the time stated on google maps. Its like 3€.

The spot itself is not great but okay. There are people going to Valencia or other local towns (many), some to Madrid and quite a few to Andalusia/Sevilla/Portugal. Many cars are full.

We arrived at 20:00 and tried for 2 hours and got close to a lift to madrid multiple times. We went to sleep in a field nearby which was perfect. Next day it took us another 2 hours to go to another service station 1 1/2 hours towards spain.

I don't know if we just got unlucky but I think its just spain. Many people are shocked when you ask them for a lift.

Great spot, 10min walk from Benidorm Internodal Train Station. The walk is a tiny bit sketchy but it works. You NEED a sign, we were lucky and got to valencia in 10min :)

We (2 people) got a ride to Barcelona after waiting about 100 minutes and asking people at the parking area and gas station. Most people were heading south or towards Zaragoza. Still, it’s a good spot because you can easily talk to people and there’s a steady flow of cars.

Tried to go west but it didn't work. Eventually I tried to get into Valencia which worked ok.

Day before (Sunday) I came here at around 3 pm and nobody took me till next day but next day it took me only 2 hours to get a ride to a gas station on outskirts of Murcia. Unfortunately there is no space for tent nearby thanks to a big grass but you can just sleep on it without a tent in summer aldo you probably will end up getting bitten by a lot of mosquitoes like me

Knowing waiting times and average distances in Spain I think I was pretty lucky. Near this spot there is place to set up a tent in woods nearby between gas station and railroad, it's guarded by a fence but there is place where you can easly cross over it without jumping over it

It's a calm but still flowing gas station. You get traffic from both directions and some local traffic. Took me almost two hours but many people had full cars or went the other direction.

Not Great not terrible. I asked people at the gas station for ride to Alicante. Lot of local traffic. I gave up and got a Blablacar.

It took quite a while to get ride, but we’re two guys. Our sign was to Barcelona, but we got ride to Benicarló. There’s faucet for water and toilet close so it’s good place. Also some hills where you can camp like us. The view was pretty nice.

If you’re traveling alone, there’s plenty of trucks to ask for rides.

Two guys trying to get ride to Barcelona. No luck after couple hours of waiting. Two many lanes so it’s hard to stop from further ones. We took train to Pucol where is better spot. Train was 2,10€

Two guys with sign to Valencia. We got our ride around 9:30 after 10 minutes waiting.

A nice guy picked us up, he even got us some food. There was no metro because of the catastrophic flooding in Valnecia and he was volunteering there.
Betera in general is a good spot to hitchhike 😁🌱
