To go towards Madrid/Andalusia: You reach this spot by the public „metrobus“ 430A from Valencia. Its not the red city busses but the yellow metrobus. It starts from the main bus station but dont try to catch it there because noone knows where it departs. We caught it one spot down from there and it came by the time stated on google maps. Its like 3€.

The spot itself is not great but okay. There are people going to Valencia or other local towns (many), some to Madrid and quite a few to Andalusia/Sevilla/Portugal. Many cars are full.

We arrived at 20:00 and tried for 2 hours and got close to a lift to madrid multiple times. We went to sleep in a field nearby which was perfect. Next day it took us another 2 hours to go to another service station 1 1/2 hours towards spain.

I don't know if we just got unlucky but I think its just spain. Many people are shocked when you ask them for a lift.

Tried to go west but it didn't work. Eventually I tried to get into Valencia which worked ok.

A nice guy picked us up, he even got us some food. There was no metro because of the catastrophic flooding in Valnecia and he was volunteering there.
Betera in general is a good spot to hitchhike 😁🌱

bad 3h

me + Nicol

from Malaga,ES to Prague,CZ
7-11:00 10.8.2015

We came here in the 7 am (I slept just 2 hours). We started to ask for a ride after 1 hour of waking up, eating, having a shower (!),...

We couldn t get a ride. We tried to hike on a roundabout with a sign Barcelona for 40 minutes. We asked the passing and stationed truckers. We asked at the station. We wanted for Barca at the first, than for Sagunt and than just to the city.

Nothing.
People going from work to work. Truckers waiting to get loadad. Locals.
It was sunday morning and I was with a nice girl. Average traffic.
According to this experience: senseless.

Than we took a train to the center and Sagunt, which worked fine.

We came here by bus but the shedule is completly random, noone we asked could tell us when the bus leaves... The important thing is that the busses leave like every 1,5h and many don't even display the official line number.

Good spot to get a short ride to go to the center of valencia, the next petrol station in the A3 direction to madrid or A7. I was sometimes here always works good.

I got there just walking since the industries buildings of loriguilla. It was at the end of the summer, maybe in winter it's not possible to cross the river. The advantage of that spot if you come from Barcelona in the highway you can ask to your driver to drop you here because it's posible to go back to A7 direction south or to the inside of valencia city. It will take just 5 minuts. Moreover if you come from madrid you can get of here to reaches Valencia if it's needed.

We have been 2 girls, hitchiking during Semana santa to the Madrid. Lots of people had full car, because of holidays, so it was harder to find ride to Madrid. Nice position, it could be easy to find ride in different day.

Left Barcelona by train u told Castellbisbal, then walked 20 min, and just arriving the gas station the first truck driver I asked picked me up towards València. Best possible way to leave Barcelona going south. When you leave the train station, you'll have to cross the train tracks (not the ones you came from, the other of the fast train) you can do so by going under, I found water and I crossed the road by the highway bridge. The easier way is to pass by the bridge like cars do and take the dirt road towards it.

Best spot in the world if you're going to Madrid, just be careful if you're a solo woman because restaurant close to petrol station seems little weird
