To go towards Madrid/Andalusia: You reach this spot by the public „metrobus“ 430A from Valencia. Its not the red city busses but the yellow metrobus. It starts from the main bus station but dont try to catch it there because noone knows where it departs. We caught it one spot down from there and it came by the time stated on google maps. Its like 3€.

The spot itself is not great but okay. There are people going to Valencia or other local towns (many), some to Madrid and quite a few to Andalusia/Sevilla/Portugal. Many cars are full.

We arrived at 20:00 and tried for 2 hours and got close to a lift to madrid multiple times. We went to sleep in a field nearby which was perfect. Next day it took us another 2 hours to go to another service station 1 1/2 hours towards spain.

I don't know if we just got unlucky but I think its just spain. Many people are shocked when you ask them for a lift.

We (2 people) got a ride to Barcelona after waiting about 100 minutes and asking people at the parking area and gas station. Most people were heading south or towards Zaragoza. Still, it’s a good spot because you can easily talk to people and there’s a steady flow of cars.

Tried to go west but it didn't work. Eventually I tried to get into Valencia which worked ok.

It's a calm but still flowing gas station. You get traffic from both directions and some local traffic. Took me almost two hours but many people had full cars or went the other direction.

Two guys trying to get ride to Barcelona. No luck after couple hours of waiting. Two many lanes so it’s hard to stop from further ones. We took train to Pucol where is better spot. Train was 2,10€

A nice guy picked us up, he even got us some food. There was no metro because of the catastrophic flooding in Valnecia and he was volunteering there.
Betera in general is a good spot to hitchhike 😁🌱

Very high traffic but no one stopped. There is a bus stop nearby so take a bus from there to Pucol (approx 3€) and try to hitch from Pucol.

No car took us in 3 hours, so we took the bus and went to the highway gas station, which was another 2 hour trip.

Bus stops or or a small amount of room after stoplights. 3-4 lanes, with all the traffic going to Madrid on the left lanes, and the ones turning off in the right. Gave up after 2.5 hours.

bad 3h

me + Nicol

from Malaga,ES to Prague,CZ
7-11:00 10.8.2015

We came here in the 7 am (I slept just 2 hours). We started to ask for a ride after 1 hour of waking up, eating, having a shower (!),...

We couldn t get a ride. We tried to hike on a roundabout with a sign Barcelona for 40 minutes. We asked the passing and stationed truckers. We asked at the station. We wanted for Barca at the first, than for Sagunt and than just to the city.

Nothing.
People going from work to work. Truckers waiting to get loadad. Locals.
It was sunday morning and I was with a nice girl. Average traffic.
According to this experience: senseless.

Than we took a train to the center and Sagunt, which worked fine.

We came here by bus but the shedule is completly random, noone we asked could tell us when the bus leaves... The important thing is that the busses leave like every 1,5h and many don't even display the official line number.
