I'm sure in normal circumstances it's a good place. Lots of international cars alrady. In my case, most were full because of the dates (christmas) and it was pouring rain, so it took me a while to get a ride, in the end with an italian truck driver that took me to Montpellier.―friki

Lots of people offered a ride, but a short one. The fourth one offered to take me to Figueres and I took it.―friki

It's a calm but still flowing gas station. You get traffic from both directions and some local traffic. Took me almost two hours but many people had full cars or went the other direction.―Menno

not much traffic at that time but the first person i talked to, a middle aged belgian man on the way to calpe, alicante, agreed to take me with him. i only asked if he could drop me at the exit oeste in girona and turn back at the traffic circle, instead he insisted to take me to my final destination, some 3 km from the highway inside the city―andrej

The best spot in Girona if you want to go to Barcelona or France (Perpinyà ).It's the nearest entrance to the "autopista del Mediterrani" (the highway) from Girona.

I went even further, all the way to the toll-stations where all the cars going to Barcelona have to pass. I was standing just before them, next to the sign saying that it's forbidden for pedestrians! By the way, it's Girona SUD/South (Sortida 7), it takes like 1 hour to walk to there from the city center.―Anonymous

not sure if the toll gate has changed but there was literally no place for cars to stop, a lunatic eventually took us 30 minutes down the road where we hopped a train to barca―Anonymous

Esperabamos aqui con mi novia solo 5 minutos con un seña BRCELONA.Fuimos a la salida del rondo, adonde coches pueden pararse. Mas lejo es mucho mas dificil de pararse.
