I only tried for 15min but there was very little traffic on a wednesday 11:00 so I think the spot may not be the best.

This is a good spot and me and my LoVE with our dog were suprised with tha car that took us. I was playing some music on my viola so maybe that helped?! Who knows…;)

Me, my LOVE and our dog were here for quite a long time and were prepared to sleep in the Forrest for the night. However at the most unexpected time a car stopped and took us to La Junquera even though we had a sign with Perpignan. But since on the way and our destination is Portugal we took it! Lucky us since we are two with backpacks and a dog……:)

We were trying to go toward Zaragoza. Took us a while to realize that wasn't going to happen. Most people are going either to France or Barcelona. Around lunchtime we decided to accept a ride to Barcelona and ask a drop off before the highway exit. But by that time there were almost no cars coming through, and the ones that did weren't going to Barcelona.
One truck driver accepted to drive one person, but we were two and wanted to stick together. In the end we took a bus to Figueres and then a train to Barcelona.

Glad to see other comments replicate my experience.
The truck driver who dropped us off here said there were going to be a lot of spanish trucks that could take us directly to Spain. We had our hopes up in the beginning, but we slowly lost hope...
Basically, this is a good spot to go to Geneve. After some hours, we were just trying to go past Lyon into the A6 or A7 highway. Took a long time, but in the end we found a truck driver from Spain who, after a little bit of conversation, became willing to take both of us (a couple) all the way across the border. Lucky! I don't know what I would have done otherwise.

I'm sure in normal circumstances it's a good place. Lots of international cars alrady. In my case, most were full because of the dates (christmas) and it was pouring rain, so it took me a while to get a ride, in the end with an italian truck driver that took me to Montpellier.

Lots of people offered a ride, but a short one. The fourth one offered to take me to Figueres and I took it.

Not a lot of space for the cars to stop and there aren't too many going deeper into Spain. Gpt lucky and were picked up by the bus

This petrol station is surprisingly quiet and pleasant (compared to the rest of the Jonquera industrial area). A constant flow of cars stopping by, but not super busy either. The right amount of traffic. Eventhough I had a sign saying "Figueres", where I was planning to take a train, a middle aged french couple took me all the way to Barcelona, my destination.

The spot is perfect. Shade, slow speeds and good visibility, just not a lot of traffic. Third car that came by picked my up and dropped me right at the bus stop. They were french.

Pro: plenty of space, gas station and small market. Fairly good traffic both ways.

Con: gotta walk 15-20 mins to get here. Cars getting out of Figueres start to speed up and the gas station is not super busy.
Possibly the traffic lights about 500m before this is a better spot.

Many cars pass by slowly, but only a fraction was going to the highway. Got a ride after 30 mins. Visible, clean spot just before turning into highway, with a little space where cars can stop.

Knowing waiting times and average distances in Spain I think I was pretty lucky. Near this spot there is place to set up a tent in woods nearby between gas station and railroad, it's guarded by a fence but there is place where you can easly cross over it without jumping over it

Stood there with a sign to smaller town on the coast, but get a ride in direction Barcelona with a funny german guy in caravan.
Mainly locals went here, it was a weekday in the early evening, a boy and a girl
