I just tried this spot and didn't like it very much. There's not that much space for cars to stop. I just walked 50 meters before the roundabout, cars can stop easily there.―Divagueame

I stood in the round about on my way to Oviedo and waited 2 hours just to get a 20 km ride.―Kobjak

Hitchhike here if you want to head to the west on the A-8. Just after the bridge there's a small space for the cars to pull off and stop. Perfect for short distances, can work for bigger ones as well (depends on the season). Use the rush-hours in the morning and early-afternoon.―Anonymous

Hitched a ride in no time to Torrelavega from here. Just stand in the roundabout, before the entrance there's some space for the cars to stop.―Anonymous

It’s a good spot (stop bus), lot of cars go in torrelavega, on the sign we write Leon and torrelavega, one man took us to torrelavega. Maybe it’s better if you write palencia 🤷♂️―Timeo

Not a lot of place for the car but it’s possible before the autoroute. To go in the south you have 2 options, autoroute or national. We waited 10 min to go in the south !―Timeo

We got super lucky with a direct car to Santander, but it is not such a busy petrol station, but still the best option I guess to get North from Cordoba.―Anonymous

Not a good Spot. I got lucky with a woman, who was passionate about hitchhiking and excited to help. She took me somewhere not so helpfull (El Astillero). The Gasstation 10m away is also no good for traveling to Laredo or beyond. Lots of Local traffic. The day before I spent 2 hours in evening traffic asking many people there, but with no luck. If you speak spanish, it may be different.Thursday @ 07:30 with sign Loredo

Not the best place to stop a car, but it's possible in emergency lane. Cars can see you from roundabout. We even got a driver heading to another roundabout exit.―Ellaella

Not so much a good spot for the direction of France. It is a busy Station for mostly local traffic. The gasoline is served from the staff of the station, so it intervenes with asking the people for a ride.Asked 40+ people for Laredo.
In the end I asked someone just to take me to a gasstation near Torrelavega to get ahead in any way, which was not a better station.

There are cars coming slowly, not the best place to stop a car but doable.―Ellaella
