The only possibility is to try at the petrol station or get the car that moves towards the tiny on-ramp... it failed―Anonymous

Physically perfect for cars to stop, but no one going E4 northbound. Maybe useful for getting to the shopping centre just across the roundabout, where you can eat for under SEK 20 in IKEA.―Anonymous

Have waited for a few hours here without success in 2006. However I think I was unlucky - it looks like a good spot for going south.http://hitchwiki.org/en/J%C3%B6nk%C3%B6ping

There´s no point going further than the next roundabout. We stood just before it, got a short ride after one hour. (08.2014)―Ewelinalucy

We wanted to go south. In theory it should work here, the spot is perfect (bus stop) and our sign (E4 S) was clear. In reality nobody stopped during 2,5hrs and we got lots of shitty immature reactions. We walked south to the spot after the junction Göteborg/Malmö in the end.―Koendev

I once stayed there for over two hours, no one stopped except for some teenagers who just wanted to tease. On another occasion, a man picked me up after some 20 minutes of waiting and drove me some 15km south where I could easily get a ride all the way to Copenhagen.

Hitched from here twice, once going north, the other west. There is also a possiblility to go south from here. Had quite long waiting-time and only got shorter rides.―Orsejl

If you go north - it's just a beautiful spot for you. Dozens of cars and tracks going to Stockholm―Bame4

Came in the evening just as it was getting dark. Few cars and none would take us. Spent the night outside and got a ride in the morning by someone who worked at the gas station. Huskvarna or Jönköping is much better, so try to get dropped off there instead.―Quispiam

1st experience - got a ride to Norrkoping after around 1h. 2nd experience on the way south - lot of traffic going just to Jonkoping, got one offer, but only to there and thus, rejected it. We camped in a nearby playground and on the following day after a lot of waiting eventually accepted a ride to Jonkoping.―Ewelinalucy

Late July 2014. Equipped with sign "Göteborg" me and a friend got a ride within 20 min all the way to Göteborg.―Maxlandegren
