A sign saying OSLO, a guy told me that he would take me closer to the border. There wasn't much space to stop, and overall, this place didn't feel safe, but it worked out pretty well. Maybe it's better to ask around the shopping center, there were plenty of Norwegian plates there. If going to Norway, this is the best place to resupply for reasonable prices. I met two hitchhikers from Poland here, and they advised me to go to BILTEMA for 5kr hotdogs, which was one of the greatest pieces of advice I've ever gotten on the road.―martih

I think that you might be better off asking at the gas station, but a guy gave me a ride within minutes. A lot of cars from the gas station go in the opposite direction, so staying here helps you separate only the cars going your way. There is some place to pull over, but not much, cars are pretty slow.―martih

also a good spot of that area to get to oslo!not that much of space to stop but a lot of trafic and cars and getting slow
get a ride to strömstad just before oslo in 20 minutes !!
place yourself at the end of the roundabout (just before turning in front of the ikea/oslo sign)

really nice spot to get to oslo!there is a bus spot which helps a lot for cars to get slowly😸
if u try to get out of göteborg i really recommend that spot instead of the others, it’s just 45 min from the center with the bus X4
(choose that one after seeing that the other famous one was in construction)

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Friday evening. Don't know about the other spots in the area, but this spot is really dangerous, try not to end up here if possible ! There is clearly no place for cars to stop and cars go too fast.We hitchhiked a bit down the road on an inserting lane and a guy took us to Håby, the next gas station, but we definitely apologised to him for making him stop there...

A guy and a girl withiut a sign on a Friday evening. Very bad spot. There is clearly no place for cars to stop, maybe if you go hitchhike at the redlights nearby, but it's impossible to hitchhike on the ramp.We were on the other side of the road wondering how to hitchhike here when two really nice girls stopped by to help us thinking we were lost. They ended up taking us to Uddevalla, so we were quite lucky !

Really nice spot, because of the open-every-day mall, which attracts customers all the way from Norway. Found a ride north in minutes. You might actually be (in my case should be) picky about the hitch, so you get some safe distance.―Anonymous

I´ve also hitched from this place and it is indeed good. Just a few minutes for me too. A good thing is to use a sign because the spot I was using met cars heading both north, south and east..―Sigis
