Sign saying NORRUT, still a pretty decent spot, as the other reviews say.―martih

Cars have a lot of room to stop and visibility is good. There is a bus stop to hide in if weather starts being funny. We tried for Oslo and one sweet old lady took us to Tanumshede.―rarepancakes

I probably got lucky, but within the first minute, I got two offers for a ride. One south of Goteborg and one longer, just north of it. The gas station did not feel so empty; it was just before noon.―martih

I was trying to get to Denmark but no luck here, waited more than two hours, a few cars stopped but nobody was going there or able to take me. Nice spot to nap though―Anonymous

really nice spot to get to oslo!there is a bus spot which helps a lot for cars to get slowly😸
if u try to get out of göteborg i really recommend that spot instead of the others, it’s just 45 min from the center with the bus X4
(choose that one after seeing that the other famous one was in construction)
good luck !!!

Again, this spot turned out to be great. 2 hitchhikers with a NORRUT sign. Got a ride quickly to Grebbestad on a friday evening.―dalby

Got a direct ride to Oslo as a M/F couple with a sign after an hour. A fair amount of German and Norwegian cars, although ultimately a Swedish/Icelandic couple took us. Beware that in summer, there's no shade and you'll be burning.―Anonymous

Got a couple of middle fingers but then a really friendly ride. There isn't really a great place for cars to stop but the roundabout is spacious so it doesn't feel too bad. Male and female without a sign―Anonymous

A guy and a girl withiut a sign on a Friday evening. Very bad spot. There is clearly no place for cars to stop, maybe if you go hitchhike at the redlights nearby, but it's impossible to hitchhike on the ramp.We were on the other side of the road wondering how to hitchhike here when two really nice girls stopped by to help us thinking we were lost. They ended up taking us to Uddevalla, so we were quite lucky !

Good spot to go to Götenborg, but not so good to go further. Not a lot of cars passing by, but several cars stopped until a guy eventually proposed to take us past Götenborg.―JumpingRabbit

Sorry guys, but this might be my lucky spot! Within 10 minutes I got a short ride to the next gas station/rest area. The driver mentioned it’s not a safe spot since the ramp is already part of the motorway — but in my opinion, it’s still a usable place for hitchhiking north.―denwer

The waiting time ranged from 10 to 60 minutes. I was hitchhiking to Oslo and received two offers to Kungälv; the second time, I accepted the offer.―denwer

I remember my sister's bad experience at this parking area before—she and her husband had to wait for a ride for more than 24 hours. I was lucky that day and got a ride to Gothenburg in just 15 minutes. The car was originally going to Oslo, but they offered me a lift to Gothenburg. All the other cars were full.―denwer

We were about to give up and go to eat McDonalds 40 minutes away on foot, but a really nice girl saw us being in misery, approached us and asked if we need a ride. We wanted to reach Oslo, she drove us a little bit over Undelvalla :) (couple)―violonsky

We were hyped about the spot because of many positive reviews, but the experience was tragic. We waited 3h 20min with Oslo sign. At 19:50 a guy gave us a 10 min ride to a small village.―violonsky

Me and a friend (guy and girl) took the bus from the STIGS center here trying to hitch north. Waited for about 30 minutes without a ride. Eventually got on another city bus and rode north (without paying).―Anonymous
