Pretty nice spot but not a lot of people are stopping. Got lucky.

I mean if you want to get out of airport this is probably the best spot because you also catch the traffic from mcdonalds which turned out good for me because the couple picked me up to goteborg from there.

The waiting time ranged from 10 to 60 minutes. I was hitchhiking to Oslo and received two offers to Kungälv; the second time, I accepted the offer.

I remember my sister's bad experience at this parking area before—she and her husband had to wait for a ride for more than 24 hours. I was lucky that day and got a ride to Gothenburg in just 15 minutes. The car was originally going to Oslo, but they offered me a lift to Gothenburg. All the other cars were full.

We were hyped about the spot because of many positive reviews, but the experience was tragic. We waited 3h 20min with Oslo sign. At 19:50 a guy gave us a 10 min ride to a small village.

Heading to Oslo. Took a while (travelling two people with backpacks) but got picked up and dropped off in Strömstad.

This is one spot for going south on E6/E20. Perhaps a bit too close to the center -- many cars are probably not leaving the city. Though a friend got a ride straight to Malmö. There are indeed red lights, so you can get contact with people.

You can get here by taking a tram to stop called Stampen, and walking Gullbergsvassgatan.

Me and my buddy hitched from this spot twice, once to Oslo and once to Stockholm...didn't wait longer than 30mins...lots of traffic and a bus stop to pull into.

Avoid this ramp, walk to a bus stop which is about 800m from here.

made a mistake standing here for Jonkoping, cars are led over highway E20 and then directly to road 40. So senseless to stand here.

Go by bus from Nils Ericsson-terminalen/Göteborg Central to Delsjömotet and position yourself along the side of the road leading out of town with a JÖNKÖPING-sign. This is generally a faster way than E20 for eastern destinations such as Stockholm, with a stopover in Jönköping if needed.

Stigs Center -- big service station where international truck drivers stop and rest. Going north and south on E6. Should be possible to talk somebody into taking you.

It has a long history, but it doesn't look like this anymore: http://www.stigscenter.se/img/historia/tappen62.jpg .

Get here by taking bus 47 from Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen towards Tuve.

Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen (on Hisingen Island, just across the bridge (Götaälvbron) from the central train station) is reached by tram 5, 6 or 10.

Waited there for three hours, lot of people waving but no one picking us up to go to Oslo

200 meter before the ramp is a sidestreet (next to the Statoil petrol station) where drivers stop. Not too busy, but enough for a ride to the service station on the E20 southbound. Not a great spot nonetheless.

Very good spot to catch a lift out of Gothenburg, we managed to get to Alingsås from where we found a lift to Stockholm.
